​Special education: Pathways to success

What do I do if my child is struggling academically?
When you have academic concerns, the best first step is to talk with your child's teacher. Often times at Hampton Bays Elementary school we are able to provide consistent small group interventions according to your child's needs without undergoing extensive psycho-educational testing through the auspices of special education. This is somewhat unique to Hampton Bays as were are both a full inclusion school and one which allows for flexible grouping of various reading and math interventions.

Special education services can still be provided in the  online/remote learning setting. The district has provided some guidelines as to how those services look.
